Goodbye Sister Meyers/ First week as a companionship
Hey there fam and friends!! I love you all dearly🤍🤍🤍
How is everyone doin??
Send me an email or message I'd love to hear from you!!
HECTORS CONFIRMATION
Yesterday Hector was confirmed a member of our church! Yayyyy!! Such an amazing person and he is going to benefit our ward so very much. He almost made me and my companion have a heart attack though because he walked in the church building at 9:58 right before sacrament started, we knew he wouldn't not show up but wowww I got scared there for a minute hahaha anyways it is truly so amazing to see the change in our friends lives. To truly see the Atonement work in another person's life is such a blessing and testimony to me of the Savior and His love for us.
RIP SISTER MEYER
We lost a good missionary to santa rosa🥲 shes in a better place now😔 hahaha sister Meyer is now with Sister Poff in Santa Rosa!! We said goodbye at transfers on tuesday and it was so sad but they are going to do AMAZING things over there and me and sister Brunette are doing the Lords work in Benicia!!
FIRST WEEK OF TRANSFER
its been a good first week! So many amazing miracles!! Some bad days but just like Jeffery R Holland said "bad days come to an end" !! Amen! We found 4 new friends this week yayyyy!!!! I have a lot of hope for all of them. I was able to fast this week for a family member as well as a little boy in our area who family just found out he has cancer🥺. I usually just hold special fasts on fast sunday but I felt really strongly that I needed to fast and wow the spirit was magnified the whole day I came home to end my fast and while my companion was in the shower lol I just poured my heart out to Heavenly Father. Even though I was completely focused on other people and thinking about their benefit throughout my fast that day, I think that fast and my prayer was mostly for my benefit. It is truly so amazing to see how much it blesses us and others when we look outwardly. While I was praying it felt almost like my dad was just patting me on the back saying " Grace I am so proud of you. I promise this sacrifice of fasting and your mission is and will be worth it for others and YOU." Such a cool experience, and luckily my companion takes long showers haha so I had plenty of time to cry with my Heavenly Father.
CAR FAST
our mission held a missionwide "car fast" on Friday we all sacrificed our cars and walked all day! Wow I LOVED it, my companion not so much haha its okay lol I had fun. It gave us the opportunity to see so many people just out and about. Our missions goal was to find but to specifically find someone who you could prepare for baptism. So we prayed and we went into the beginning of the day with that prayer and goal in mind. We left our car at the apartment and about 15 minutes of walking we found Bruce! He is an answer to prayers we talked so much about baptism and he literally told us that "we all need to follow Jesus Christs example and be baptized" what??? So cool!! We are so excited to keep teaching him. The rest of the day was so fun and Im so grateful for our wonderful Benicia!
Have the best week! I love y'all🤗
Something that has stayed with me from the MTC was a devotional we had about the "Character of Christ" from David A Bednar. He shares how Christ ALWAYS looked outwardly and never inward and as I've focused on that example while being out in the field it has truly blessed me and made my mission so joyous!! If you need something good to listen to go listen to that talk and let me know what you think!! Elder Bednar is such a great speaker:)
Not a lot of pictures this week but here's a beautiful sunset!!
