Home MTC

Image
Grace began home MTC today. We haven’t moved into the new house yet, but we got the internet running and office all set up so should had somewhere to have privacy for classes.   Hey guys!!! I can’t believe I’m sending my first email already! and leaving for the MTC tomorrow!!  CRAZY!!  HOME MTC ☀️☀️☀️ at home missionary training has been truly AMAZING! I heard so many negative things about it so I was a little nervous going into all our zoom classes but it was actually so fun, I’ve felt the spirit so strong this whole week and I can’t believe how fast it flew by!! I have the most amazing companion, her name is Sister Poff:) I really could not have asked for a better first companion for my MTC experience! She’s from Utah too and we are both going to the Santa Rosa mission so hopefully towards the end of our mission we can be comps again🤞🏼 Our district has 14 missionaries and they are all so awesome! I can’t wait to meet everyone tomorrow!!  I LOVE BEING A...

Farewell /Setting Apart

Grace spoke in church on March 22nd, the same day she was set apart as a missionary. She is just a natural speaker, and did a fantastic job. Then all the sisters sang “Come Thou Fount/If You Could Hie to Kolob”. It was so beautiful!! After church we held a luncheon at the new house. Over 60 people came! We decorated California themed with palms and sunshine. Grace wanted to serve Hawaiian haystacks and we also had bunt cakes because they have gluten free.  After lunch we headed to the stake Center and Grace was set apart as a representative of Jesus Christ and full time missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When the Stake president asked her if she was ready, she said so enthusiastically “I am so ready!!” He agreed. We recorded her blessing and wrote it down so she can refer to it during her mission.
