Farewell /Setting Apart

Grace spoke in church on March 22nd, the same day she was set apart as a missionary. She is just a natural speaker, and did a fantastic job. Then all the sisters sang “Come Thou Fount/If You Could Hie to Kolob”. It was so beautiful!! After church we held a luncheon at the new house. Over 60 people came! We decorated California themed with palms and sunshine. Grace wanted to serve Hawaiian haystacks and we also had bunt cakes because they have gluten free. 

After lunch we headed to the stake Center and Grace was set apart as a representative of Jesus Christ and full time missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When the Stake president asked her if she was ready, she said so enthusiastically “I am so ready!!” He agreed. We recorded her blessing and wrote it down so she can refer to it during her mission.

 Grace had just scheduled to receive her endowment, and two days later the missionary age changed for sisters to 18.  When she found out, she called crying and knew she needed to submit her papers to serve a mission. She had always prayed that the mission age would change to 18, she even drafted a letter to President Nelson about it. All of our kids were here for Thanksgiving so we were all able to support her and be at the temple with her. It was a beautiful day!

First Week of Provo MTC

Yayyyyy I survived the first week!! I'm thriving guys, I love being here at the provo MTC. My district is even better in person and so is my companion!!! I love my companion she is amazing and literally been such a tender mercy🫶🫶🫶  FIRST DAY They weren't lying when they said that drop off goes really fast. It was faster than fast. My family dropped me off and it was so fast I didn't even have time to cry😂! My luggage then got taken by random elders and I got directed from line to line picking up all the stuff I needed for my MTC experience. And then.... we just kept goin and goin!! We had a little bit of time to settle into our room and I got to meet my companion for the first time shes so amazing! Then we went directly to a welcoming devotional with the MTC presidency which was amazing!! Totally confirmed this is where I need to be and what I need to be doing right now🙌🙌 we had dinner and then went to a "character of Christ" workshop and it was so so good! ...
