Week 2 of the Provo MTC

 Hey yall !! Guess what !?!


I GO TO THE FIELD TOMORROW👏🏼👏🏼

YAYYYY I can't believe I've already finished my missionary training and I'll be traveling to california tomorrow! We're gonna fly into the Santa Rosa airport but because it's small they don't do direct flights from Salt Lake so we have to have a layover in Phoenix... our travel day is gonna be a little long tomorrow haha pray for us but it'll be so worth it to finally get to the field!!! 

WEDNESDAY 
We got the new wave of missionaries on Wednesday and our district was picked to go help host them. It was so fun to help all the new missionaries but so sad seeing them all say goodbye to their families. I felt like It didn't really hit me when I said goodbye to my family and so seeing everyone say goodbye made me feel all the emotions I didn't feel when I got dropped off😂

THURSDAY 
our last temple day:( we went to the temple one last time with our MTC district and it was so bittersweet! I love my district and it's been so amazing to go to the temple with them. We had the opportunity to do proxy family sealings and wow such a cool experience. 

FRIDAY 
Preparing for the field workshop>> we had a workshop for everyone leaving the MTC and it was so fun! They put on a little play for us about arriving at the mission field and it was hilarious. We were invited in one of our classes to call someone and talk about prayer and call someone and share a scripture. I chose to call both my brothers and it made my week 10x better just seeing their faces🥹 

SATURDAY
We were all soooo tired and so our classes felt so long for all of our district hahaha but we had such a good day and ended it at the gym playing volleyball and running on the track!

SUNDAY
SACRAMENT>>We had sacrament with our branch and so it was just a small little meeting with probably about 25 people. It was so special and the spirit was so strong! my companion gave the best talk and I was able to say the opening prayer!

GO AND DO EXPERIENCE>> it was our first and last time doing it. The purpose of this experience is to help us find personal revelation through asking a question and listening to the holy ghost. My experience was so good and we're usually not allowed to use headphones to listen to music/talks but they made an exception for this and I listened to music and studied it was so amazing! I forgot how much I miss music!! 

DEPATURE DEVOTIONAL>>they had a last devotional for us because we're leaving the MTC and wow it was so cool. We sang "we'll bring the world his truth" and we sang the words "we are NOW the lord's missionaries" and we're all bawling like babies. So proud of all of us for choosing to serve the lord right now!

MONDAY 
We had our very last classes and they were so good! The day went by so so fast. It was our last day together as a district cuz some people left this morning but we were able to play ping pong and hangout together!! I love them so much and am so sad that we're going our separate ways but I'm so proud of all of us for making it through the MTC together!! 

Wish me luck as I travel tomorrow!!!

 Grace had just scheduled to receive her endowment, and two days later the missionary age changed for sisters to 18.  When she found out, she called crying and knew she needed to submit her papers to serve a mission. She had always prayed that the mission age would change to 18, she even drafted a letter to President Nelson about it. All of our kids were here for Thanksgiving so we were all able to support her and be at the temple with her. It was a beautiful day!

First Week of Provo MTC

Yayyyyy I survived the first week!! I'm thriving guys, I love being here at the provo MTC. My district is even better in person and so is my companion!!! I love my companion she is amazing and literally been such a tender mercy🫶🫶🫶  FIRST DAY They weren't lying when they said that drop off goes really fast. It was faster than fast. My family dropped me off and it was so fast I didn't even have time to cry😂! My luggage then got taken by random elders and I got directed from line to line picking up all the stuff I needed for my MTC experience. And then.... we just kept goin and goin!! We had a little bit of time to settle into our room and I got to meet my companion for the first time shes so amazing! Then we went directly to a welcoming devotional with the MTC presidency which was amazing!! Totally confirmed this is where I need to be and what I need to be doing right now🙌🙌 we had dinner and then went to a "character of Christ" workshop and it was so so good! ...
