First Week of Provo MTC

Yayyyyy I survived the first week!! I'm thriving guys, I love being here at the provo MTC. My district is even better in person and so is my companion!!! I love my companion she is amazing and literally been such a tender mercy🫶🫶🫶 

FIRST DAY

They weren't lying when they said that drop off goes really fast. It was faster than fast. My family dropped me off and it was so fast I didn't even have time to cry😂! My luggage then got taken by random elders and I got directed from line to line picking up all the stuff I needed for my MTC experience. And then.... we just kept goin and goin!! We had a little bit of time to settle into our room and I got to meet my companion for the first time shes so amazing! Then we went directly to a welcoming devotional with the MTC presidency which was amazing!! Totally confirmed this is where I need to be and what I need to be doing right now🙌🙌 we had dinner and then went to a "character of Christ" workshop and it was so so good! My favorite thing that David A Bednar said "this mission is not about you" and amen this mission is not about me it is about the people I will serve! There are people in california who need this gospel! Christ always looked outwardly. Never once did he look inward and think about himself. Remembering that helps me have more humility and also increases my experience so much more when I think about others instead of myself.

TEMPLE TRIPS

I've gotten to go to the Timpanogas temple 2 TIMES ALREADY and we've only been here for a week ahhhh such a blessing. I love temples so much. Going to the temple as a missionary is so cool, literally amazing!! We got to do endowment yesterday and it was so cool to have that many missionaries in the celestial room plus so many angels surrounding us. So grateful for temples!! 

FOOD

All I'm gonna say is well at least we're getting food right? Ive been trying not to complain but no, the food here is just not great. the first day I had hope but it just keeps getting worse😭. I also have to eat from the gluten free area and it's just not good food so I'm just living off chomp beef sticks hahaha thanks to my mom!!! 

GENERAL CONFERENCE/EASTER

Being in person watching with all the other missionaries was really so cool. The Solemn assembly was amazing wow. watching all the elders and then the sisters stand in that room felt so powerful and I know that president Oaks is a prophet called of God! I loved conference i have so many amazing notes and my testimony grew so much over this weekend. I hope yall had the opportunity to watch conference and have an amazing easter weekend! Go back and study all those talks they're so good! Just like president Oaks said go study and receive your own personal revelation!!
